Rosseti put the first Elbrus processor-based complexes into operation

ROSSETI Group commissioned relay protection systems (RPAs) based on the Russian Elbrus microprocessor at Borskaya and Semyonovskaya substations near Nizhny Novgorod.

Power supply to cities and towns with a population of about 170 thousand people and several large enterprises depends on the activity of these facilities.

The equipment was developed by Nizhny Novgorod company NIPOM and Concern Avtomatika.

The characteristics of the Elbrus-based relay protection system include a low failure rate, guarantee of protection against illegal interference in the activities of power facilities and the absence of "tabs" that allow unauthorized removal of information. In addition, there is a self-diagnostic function.

Application of Elbrus processors increases reliability of the complexes and their resistance to information attacks, said Vladimir Kabanov, General Director of Avtomatika.
