Implementation of the 15-year development strategy for the shipbuilding industry will make it possible to increase the output of civil products more than sixfold.

According to Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the approximate value of the order portfolio will exceed 2.3 trillion rubles.

In order to make the industry competitive, it is planned to take as the basis the development of scientific, technical, and human resources potential, the modernization of production, and technical re-equipment.

For this purpose, proposals will be implemented for optimization of the shipbuilding structure, the mechanism of subsidized loans for replenishment of working capital will be worked out and launched, and conditions for development of small and medium-size enterprises will be provided.

As Prime Minister stressed, it is planned to build new river and sea vessels and to produce components, so that entrepreneurs could create the most attractive conditions for potential customers, and quickly and qualitatively service ships at the facilities of domestic enterprises.
