Domestic group of agrarian enterprises "Resurs" delivered to the Philippines a test container of chicken meat with a total volume of 27 tons.

This product was produced by a branch of the Grigorodnensky meat and poultry plant. Last year, it became one of the first four companies that received the right to export meat to this southeastern Asian nation.

The shipments are carried out in accordance with the plan of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation regarding test shipments of poultry meat to countries that are open to imports of this Russian product.

The Philippine market is now showing an increase in poultry meat consumption and trade expansion, said Alexander Stoklitsky, deputy director general of Resurs-Yug.

Last year, the Philippines imported nearly 400,000 tons of poultry meat worth $315 million, according to international analytical company ITC Trade Map.

Some of the largest suppliers were the US (about 98 million dollars), Netherlands (87 million dollars) and Brazil (47 million dollars).
