Photos of an ambulance based on Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) Profi for Latin American countries have appeared on the Internet.

Thus, the special purpose vehicle was built on the basis of UAZ-1288 modification. In other words, it is a "Profi" with a frame-panel superstructure-vans of integral type. Its first production began two years ago.

The first buyer of this ambulance in Latin America is Bolivia. According to the local distributor UAZ, the car was shipped in all-wheel drive modification to the medical institution EMEDSA in the department of Santa Cruz.

The car cost $49.5 thousand for Bolivia.

The configuration of the car corresponds to that of the medical facilities in Russia. The only difference is the color on the body, which was chosen based on standards in Bolivia.

UAZ-1288 has the standard Pro 2.7-liter gasoline ZMZ Pro (149 hp), as well as a five-speed manual transmission, transfer gearbox with step-down gears and hard front axle connection, ABS and driver airbag.

In addition, the van body is equipped with special equipment: an oxygen tank, lavatory, stretcher, air conditioner and infusion set.
