The St. Petersburg enterprise of Rosatom NIIEFA has sent to France production of own manufacture - a batch of switching equipment for systems of power supply of superconductor windings of electromagnetic system of the International thermonuclear experimental reactor (ITER).

It's being built at the French research center Cadarache.

The equipment will protect AC/DC converters in the event of an emergency and will provide bypassing of the converter's terminals if the main thyristor bypass device fails.

The first batch consists of 10 switching devices and 10 control devices in rack-mounted version. They will be installed in the building galleries of AC/DC converters.
