Rybinsk Shipyard has presented Khaska-10 hovercraft.

The peculiarity of such transport is the presence of flexible skegs. Skegs are air cushion fencing which can be used as runners on the move. It provides the ship with additional support and improves its maneuvering characteristics.

The new vehicle can move on water, ice, ice mush and swampy ground at temperatures up to minus 50 degrees. At the same time the transporter can transport vehicles as well.

Carrying capacity of the Husky-10 is ten tons and its cruising range is 400 miles. The vessel is equipped with two 1.5 thousand horsepower engines.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is the customer of the vehicle. Also the military authorities showed a great interest to the new vessel. Another potential customer could be the Russian Northern Fleet.
