oselectronics Holding, which belongs to Rostec State Corporation, has developed Russia's most accurate teraohmmeter for checking the quality of electronic components.

The equipment has already passed testing to confirm its metrological characteristics. The device will be used for measurements and verifications at standardization and metrology centers.

The device is a portable unit and has a touch screen display on its front panel to control operating modes and display measurement results.

The voltmeter method is the basis of the thermostat principle. Thus, the equipment measures the voltage and current in the circuit and then calculates the resistance according to Ohm's law.

The equipment was created and produced at the Research Institute of Electronic and Mechanical Devices of Roselectronics.

As Aleksandr Akimov, the Director General of the centre, said that the total cost of the devices supplied so far has exceeded 10 million roubles. According to his words, the metrological characteristics of the teraohmmeter were improved at the request of the clients. This means that next year the device will be sold with a higher accuracy class.

Overall, the Russian market for such meters amounts to 60 million roubles, Akimov concluded.
