Agroexport told about confectionery supplies from Russia to Korea

South Korea has imported $326 million worth of chocolate confectionery products in the past 5 years.

Korea applies "most-favored-nation treatment" to our country. Thus, the import duty on chocolate is set at 8% and on chocolate products from 5.4% within the import quota, said the federal center for the development of exports of agro-industrial products under the RF Ministry of Agriculture.

Chocolate confectionery products are considered to be one of the most popular among other delicacies in Korea. In this regard, consumers are ready to try innovative products, but also actively buy chocolate sweets with berries and nuts.

From 2015 to 2020, Korea imported nearly 51,000 tons worth $326 million. Some of the main suppliers were the US, China, Italy, Belgium, and Malaysia.
