This year 41 million tons of cargo have been transported here. This is 4% higher compared to 2019. It is noted that the main share of this was construction cargo.

During the navigation period, 615 thousand people were also transported along the Volga River.

This year the Volga has been open for 243 days for traffic of ships. During this period of time over 38 thousand water transport vehicles crossed the waterways, which is 5.4% less than last year's figures. The number of locks has also decreased by 1% down to 20,3 thousand.

The Federal Marine and River Transport Agency informs that almost 58 thousand trips were made on the Volga, and about half of them were made by dry cargo vessels and tugboats.
