Russia exported Shvabe satellite equipment to Kyrgyzstan

A customer from Kyrgyzstan received a batch of high-precision Genesis receivers and base stations from Shvabe Holding (Rostec State Corporation).

The delivery includes a multi-frequency satellite receiver MR-8 and a controller R-6, which were manufactured at the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant (UOMZ).

The equipment will be used in the oil and gas industry.

In particular, the equipment is widely used for laying pipelines considering the peculiarities of the terrain, in construction of oil refineries, for example, in construction of pumping stations and cathodic protection blocks.

General Director of UOMZ Anatoly Sludnykh said this is not the first delivery of geodesic satellite equipment to Kyrgyzstan. Early this year the customer has already received SMR-9 portable controllers with built-in antenna. The equipment can also be used to resolve problems in land surveying, geophysics and agriculture, he added.

The plant is currently working on the extension of its line-up which will include the new SR-9 receiver with improved characteristics.
