Last year, the enterprises of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) fulfilled the state defense order.

For example, the first series production Su-57 fifth-generation multifunctional fighter was handed over to the Ministry of Defense. The Gagarin Aviation Plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur is now preparing to launch serial production. Starting this year, the enterprise intends to step up the pace of building aircraft of this type.

UAC has also manufactured and handed over three production heavy IL-76 military transport aircraft.

According to UAC CEO Yury Slyusar, in 2021 the corporation's priority will be to master serial production technology and reach a stable rate of serial production for two new aircraft in the military and transport segments.

According to him, UAC is reaching stable rates of serial production in Ulyanovsk and at the same time is engaged in modernization of the military transport aircraft fleet and development of a new Il-78 aircraft for refueling.

Last year the corporation also fulfilled two major contracts to supply Su-35S multirole fighters and Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Aerospace Forces.

In addition, UAC enterprises upgraded their MiG-29 and MiG-31 combat aircraft and are currently developing the MiG-35 light fighter of generation 4++ and its market promotion.

The first flight last year was made by a significantly upgraded Tu-160 with a new engine.
