A new cheese production line was launched in the Perm Territory

Chernushinsky Butter and Cheese Plant has updated its cheese production line. This will double the production volume and enable the production of new products.

Now the shop is equipped to produce Dutch, Kostroma, Swiss and Italian cheeses.

The annual capacity of the new line will be 4 thousand tons of products. It is expected that it will make it possible not only to supply cheeses to the residents of the region, but also to substitute imported cheeses in the neighboring regions. For instance, we're currently discussing deliveries to Moscow and St. Petersburg, and in the future the factory intends to export half of its products.

According to the director of the enterprise, the renovated building has equipped locker rooms, a canteen, showers and a licensed medical room for the staff. The curd department has also been transformed, the laboratory, apparatus department, rooms of purified water preparation, automated washing, cooking, preparation in brine, cheese packing and three chambers of ripening of ready production have been repaired.

Before the installation of the new equipment, the company completely renewed the steam, hot and cold water networks as well as the electrical system and replaced the ventilation system. In the apparatus department the equipment for purification of the raw materials supplied to the mill was renewed. It was required for combination of the Austrian equipment with the one already installed at the plant for production of whole-milk products.

125 tons of milk will be processed here daily to make cheese.
