Tomsk plant launched new whipping machines for 100 million rubles

Tomsk plant Sibkabel installed seven new braiding machines, whose productivity is 2.5 times higher than analogues. The cost of the equipment exceeded 100 million rubles.

The equipment was installed in the shop for production of products for rolling stock and control, installation and radio-frequency cables. These lines are used to put a screen of copper wires on the conductive core, which protects against electrical interference.

Andrey Tikhanovich, an engineer-technologist at the enterprise, said that the new equipment has replaced the defective models. Previously cable screening was performed at a speed of 70 rpm, but now it has been increased to 175 rpm.

Besides, thanks to the machines it will be possible to combine three production operations, because in the past laying of the shield and two separating layers was made by different machines.

All parameters for production on the new lines are set automatically. For example, the pitch of the lash is now entered on the control panel, while previously it was set by changing special gears. If a part of the blank or the end of the sliver is broken, the machine stops the production automatically to prevent rejects.
