Alnas, a plant producing submersible equipment for oil production in Almetyevsk, started producing new models of electric valve motors.

According to the requirements of the leading domestic oil companies, the company has developed new-generation submersible valve motors with an efficiency factor (coefficient of performance) of more than 90%.

Unlike standard asynchronous electric motors the rotor packs of AC electric motors are equipped with permanent magnets and a special scheme of supplying feeding voltage to stator winding via control stations. This allows the motors to consume less electricity and allows infinitely variable speed control and improved starting characteristics.

The motors are started and monitored from the ground control station, which has optimized fluid production based on well flow rate by fine-tuning the motor speed.

Ildar Khairullin, Operations Director of Alnas, says that the new equipment consumes less power and has better heat dissipation. This significantly extends the life of the pumping unit, and its high efficiency makes it possible to reduce the operating costs of oil production by 10 to 35%.

This year the plant plans to start serial production of highly efficient stages of electric centrifugal pumps of 2A, 5, 5A and 6 energy efficiency classes E2 and E3.
