Russia has designed a 3D printer which works using selective laser melting technology. The developer was the research and production association (NPO) Central Research Institute of Machine Building Technology.

The equipment was made for the state corporation Rosatom and is intended for manufacturing complex-profile from metal powders using special mathematical models.

Made complex MeltMaster3D-250HT is a research 3D-printer with integrated control systems based on thermal imaging and visible spectrum camera. It is equipped with a dual laser fusion system and can operate at high temperatures.

The printer can compete with imported analogues, with a lower price.

In addition to 3D equipment, the NGO's laboratory develops technology for fusing metal-powder compositions and creates software to prepare 3D models for printing and management of additive equipment.
