The Governor of Krasnodar Region Veniamin Kondratyev ordered to analyze the possibility of creating its own innovation center for the development of animal husbandry on the basis of the Kuban State Agrarian University.

According to the Head of the region, the region shows positive dynamics in the development of cattle breeding and is already one of the leaders among other regions in the production of milk and meat.

"Kuban needs its own innovation centre for the development of cattle breeding, without innovation we will not achieve new results. This is the direction, in which budgetary funds should be invested", - he was quoted on the website of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture.

The governor instructed his deputy Andrei Korobka to work on this issue.

In addition, the region may create a breeding and genetic center for dairy cattle farming in the framework of the pilot. As told Korobka, investors show interest in this direction. He said that creation of such centers will help to form their genetic base, and in future it will allow to replace low productive herds with productivity below 7 tons per cow with highly productive ones.
