Fish and seafood exports from the Moscow region dropped to $14 million last year

Export supplies of fish and seafood from the Moscow Region declined last year amid a pandemic. A total of enterprises in the region sold fish products outside the country for almost 14 million dollars, according to the website of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

As Acting Minister of Agriculture of Moscow region Sergey Voskresensky announced, there were exported over 5.4 thousand tons of fish and seafood, worth over 13.8 million dollars.

The main importers of the Russian fish and seafood were China, Germany, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Korea and Lithuania. The region as a whole supplied products to 15 countries.

According to Voskresensky, Russian Sea and Marr Russia were the leaders in exports.

According to the official, Moscow region is one of the leaders among other regions in foreign trade of milk products, cocoa, confectionary sugar products and ready grain products.
