Russian regions may increase the number of retail markets, fairs and outlets with goods of own production, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that for many small businesses and farmers this trade format is often the only possible channel to sell their goods, said Deputy Head of the Ministry Viktor Yevtukhov.

Opora Rossii, a public organization of small and medium-sized businesses, and the Association of Small Retailers will oversee the implementation of the orders.

At that, Alexander Kalinin, the President of "Opora Russia", offered to take into consideration the local specifics of small trade, observance of the requirements to the location of the objects and their design appearance in the law. He noted that the relevant legislative initiative has already been introduced to the State Duma.

Last year, the Roscongress Foundation and "Opora Russia" made an agreement on the development of small and medium business in the country.
