A new fish-processing shop with a daily output of up to 20 tons of chilled fish has been launched in Karelia.

The new enterprise was opened by Priladozhye group of companies, which breeds rainbow trout in Lake Ladoga.

The shop has been made on a place of the former fur farm. Its rated capacity is 15-20 tons of chilled and ready products a day. Now production is being increased step by step.

Fish is sliced, dried and smoked here, after which it is placed in vacuum packaging.

At the moment the company sells its products through its own online store. The products are also supplied to Petrozavodsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg.

In the future, the second stage of the plant will be launched. Besides, in future it is planned to use fish waste products to produce fish oil.
