Tomsk Electric Drives Plant has launched new types of in-house developed products into serial production.

Company Director Oleg Nikiforov presented the density meter and explosion-proof drill to the regional government during an off-site meeting on import substitution and technological development

This year, the plant is planning to supply more than 20 density meters to Transneft. The matter concerns an in-line liquid transducer, or in-line density meter, which is an analog of imported equipment. It is used at oil and petroleum products metering stations. The device operates at the temperature range of minus 45 to plus 60 degrees Celsius, it is resistant to mechanical impact and does not require daily maintenance.

Another unique development of the Tomsk enterprise is an explosion-protected drill with a design that provides for the possibility to change the batteries in a hazardous area. It can also work in various climatic conditions. The tool uses a lithium-iron phosphate battery. This means that the drill can be used in temperatures down to minus 40 degrees Celsius. The new drill ensures a high level of industrial safety during scheduled and emergency operations at hazardous sites in the oil and gas industry.
