IT industry in Russia wants to be exempted from scheduled inspections

The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation has proposed to the government to release IT companies from scheduled inspections.

The relevant proposal was added by the agency to the so-called second support package for the industry, which has already been submitted to the relevant Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko for consideration, Vedomosti reported.

Chernyshenko's press service has confirmed that the industry has indeed voiced such an initiative. This measure, as it was added in the press-service, will allow to create more comfortable conditions for business in IT sphere with introduction of new preferential tax rates.

In this case, it is proposed to cancel scheduled inspections by Rospotrebnadzor, fire supervision, the Social Insurance Fund and several other organizations. However, at the moment, the period of the possible moratorium is not voiced.

In case the second package is approved, the corresponding draft law, according to media reports, will be ready by the fall session of the State Duma.

In addition, the package includes measures to support the demand for Russian IT-solutions and subsidizing of new developments.

The first package is mainly made up of tax allowances, i.e. the social contribution rates are to be reduced from 14 to 7.6%, the profit tax from 20 to 3% and VAT rates are to be completely nullified.
