St. Petersburg's Sveza plant has begun manufacturing plywood in the 5×11 foot size (1525×3355 mm), which is especially in demand among construction and transport companies.

By using this material, car manufacturers will be able to reduce the weight of cargo trailers, and by doing so, carriers, for example, will be able to carry more cargo.

In construction, plywood will be used for making "vertical" formwork used in equipping buildings with high ceilings, construction of elevator shafts, columns and stairs.

About 150 million rubles have been spent to launch the production.

In addition, the plant upgraded the hot press, veneer stackers, and traverse carts. The plant also purchased a CNC cutter for format cutting of plywood, which is able to cut sheets of large size and weighting up to 200 kilos.
