Medical Ansat helicopters started to be equipped with the Russian module with the complex for transportation of neonatal patients. The Kazan Helicopter Plant of Russian Helicopters Holding received the appropriate permission from Rosaviatsiya.

The new equipment can be used to perform in-air evacuations or provide medical assistance to newborns.

The helicopter passed all certification work. During ground testing an emergency evacuation of the crew, doctors and neonatal patient from the air transport was performed, while during flight tests specialists evaluated the performance of the complex and checked the electromagnetic compatibility with standard Ansat equipment.

According to Yuri Pustovgarov, Managing Director of Kazan Helicopter Plant, the new complex is one of the most popular medical options for doctors, because with its help the team can continuously monitor the condition of the baby, maintain vital functions of the body and provide intensive therapy during the flight.

The medical equipment set includes a ventilator, a monitoring unit, an aspirator and an infusion pump.
