Russia has developed a new truck crane on KAMAZ chassis

Truck crane with carrying capacity of 50 tons on all-wheel drive chassis KAMAZ appeared on the market of specialized equipment.

The crane unit with a 5-section telescopic boom with a length of 35 meters was developed at the Ivanovo Machine-Building Plant "Avtokran". Its boom at the same time in the folded state is shorter in comparison with booms of other brands of 50-ton cranes. This advantage allows the Ivanovo crane to carry two winches and remain in the transport length range to travel on normal roads and provide loads on bridges.

The crane's equipment is mounted on a four-wheel drive heavy-duty vehicle chassis that enables the crane to travel not only on a prepared road surface but also on construction sites in the absence of road infrastructure. The design and technical characteristics of the chassis are unique, since the units and assemblies have been developed to ensure maximum load capacity. When making turns the truck crane remains stable due to the special stabilizers. High cross-country ability was provided by permanent drive of all wheels with centralized tire inflation system, interaxle and cross-axle differential locking.

Especially for the chassis a diesel engine is used. The vehicle has a cruising range of at least 1000 km with two fuel tanks of 350 liters each.
