An interregional furniture cluster will appear in Bashkortostan, it will include 11 companies, RBC Ufa reports.

At the moment, the regional Ministry of Industry is preparing an application to include the cluster into the register of the Federal Ministry of Industry and Trade as it will enable the companies to receive subsidies up to 300 million rubles for implementation of joint projects.

The association is being established on the basis of the "Korona" production facility in the city of Tuimazy. The anchor resident intends to invest about 400 million rubles in the creation of production areas and the purchase of equipment for the joint production of mattresses, cabinet and upholstered furniture.

The first products are scheduled to be launched in June this year.

Current participants are the Velez furniture factory from Tuimaz, the producers of upholstered furniture Amik and Apogey, Avtodetal, a producer of metal components for mattress production from Belebey, and Partner, a Beloretsk manufacturer of mattress manufacturing products, the newspaper writes.

The cluster will also include Salavat trade company "Modern", Ufa manufacturer of orthopedic pillows and mattresses "UniversalService" and local supplier of bed frames "Kredo".

The Chelyabinsk supplier of equipment and spare parts MS-Trade and the manufacturer of bed bases and fittings from Tatarstan Forward-PK are also among the participants.

The local authorities will subsidize part of the equipment purchase costs and assist in purchasing of land plots.

If the cluster is included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the enterprises will receive subsidies directly from the federal budget. For example, they will be able to reimburse up to 30% of the costs for the implementation of joint projects - a maximum of 300 million roubles - over the course of three years.
