Business turnover in the Russian Federation exceeded the pre-pandemic level by 10% at the beginning of the year

The turnover of domestic companies in the first two months of this year amounted to almost 35 trillion rubles, which is 10% higher than the same period in 2020, according to a study by FinExpertiza, an international audit and consulting network.

The highest results were recorded in personal services, culture, sports and healthcare.

Business revenues in Russia, according to FinExpertiza, exceeded last year's figures for January by approximately 7%, amounting to 16.7 trillion rubles. In February this year, the revenue increased by 13% to 18 trillion rubles.

Experts during the study took into account large, medium and small commercial organizations, not including individual entrepreneurs, writes the newspaper "Izvestia".

Revival of business activity, according to the media, was observed in 71 out of 85 regions. Dagestan has topped the list: the Republic's companies have increased the turnover by 66% to 159 billion rubles. Altai came next, it increased turnover by 31% to 18 billion rubles. The third place went to the Tambov region - plus 30% (124 billion rubles).

However, a drop in revenues was recorded in Nizhny Novgorod region (minus 22%, to 540 billion rubles), Volgograd (down 14%, to 283 billion rubles) and Sakhalin (minus 11%, to 221 billion rubles).

As previously reported, the aggregate profit of large and medium-sized enterprises in the country last year declined by almost 24%. This was the maximum drop since 2008.
