Fertilizer plant in Stavropol Krai to be upgraded for half a billion rubles

Almaz Fertilizers, a producer of water-soluble and granulated fertilizers, plans to upgrade its existing facilities for more than half a billion rubles.

The money will be used to carry out technological re-equipment and infrastructure overhaul. For instance, the company intends to upgrade its machine-tools and pumps, replace the old and worn-out equipment, including systems for gas treatment, finished product cooling and classification of finished products. In addition, the plant will replace evaporators and several other units.

Financing will also be spent on reconstruction of storage tanks, emergency protection of warehouses and renewal of railroad.

In general, these measures will ensure the annual increase in the gross output of the enterprise up to 180 thousand tons. It means that by next year the figure will increase by 30%.

Dmitry Makarkin, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Stavropol Territory, said that the plant is gradually increasing its output through spot re-equipment and improvement of technological processes. Last year, the company produced 18% more products, and several individual fertilizers have almost doubled their output.
