The Valley of Seeds company, which is controlled by Remington Seeds, a major global seed producer, intends to build a seed plant in Voronezh Region. The foreign organization has already built similar centers in the Stavropol Territory and the Belgorod Region.

They plan to invest from 750 million to 1.1 billion rubles in the new enterprise. It will produce, process and store seeds of corn and sunflower.

Andrey Dyakov, the Director General of the Valley of Seeds, said that at the moment the investor is "in the process of concluding an agreement" to purchase the agrarian enterprise on the basis of which the center will be created.

Besides, the company plans to buy 1.6 thousand hectares of land for cultivation of the seed base and equip it with irrigation system. In this connection Dyakov asked the regional authorities to help with the transfer of the land from one category to another.

According to media reports, Seed Valley was registered in Stavropol in 2017 and is 99.99% controlled by US-based Remington Holding International.
