Plastic exports from Moscow grew by 4.5% last year

Moscow shipped nearly $200 million worth of plastic goods to foreign markets last year, a 4.5% increase over 2019 figures.

Importers of the products were 114 countries. Plastic containers and packaging accounted for the main share of supplies.

Belarus and Kazakhstan accounted for most of the exports. Also in 2020 Moscow resumed supply of plastic products to Tunisia, New Zealand, Palestine, Albania and Cambodia. European countries accounted for about 13%.

For example, Austria bought $2.4 million worth of plastic goods from Moscow, and Latvia and Lithuania bought nearly four million more.

Supplies to France tripled to 1.9 million. Moscow's export of plastic products to Belgium grew thirteenfold.
