Smolensk companies started supplying their products to customers in Azerbaijan and Serbia, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

For instance, Trade Profi, a manufacturer of moisture-resistant cement-perlite boards, is exporting to a customer in Baku reinforced concrete slabs for construction of buildings. Last year the company signed a contract for about $200 thousand with Belarus.

"Trade Profi produces a unique product by its own technology, which surpasses foreign analogues in its properties. Such boards can be used in frame and panel construction.

The company has already shipped the first batch of panels worth 70 thousand dollars, the regional export support center told.

Another company from Smolensk, Promix has exported locks for furniture, refrigerators and postal boxes to Serbia. The company is also now preparing documents for deliveries to other European countries: so far, potential partners have already been found in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Portugal.
