Krasnodar manufacturers produced 7.5% more furniture last year than in 2019.

According to Ivan Kulikov, head of the region's Industrial Policy Department, about half of all furniture and equipment for equipping regional schools is currently purchased from local manufacturers. Especially for this purpose, the department creates and distributes catalogues with industrial products, holds events so that companies can present furniture and interact directly with budgetary organizations.

Besides that, the enterprises promote their products at online platforms. In the first months of this year alone, the growth in this area was 44%. One of the advantages of online sales is the expansion of markets both within the country and abroad.

The discussion was held during international exhibition of furniture, materials, components and equipment for woodworking and furniture production "UMIDS-2021" in Krasnodar. Over 400 leading manufacturers and distributors from Russia, Germany, Turkey and Belorussia participated in the event.

Krasnodar Region was represented by 68 manufacturers.
