The domestic vaccine Sputnik V was recognized in Hungary as the most effective and safe preparation against coronavirus.

Hungary became the first country in the European Union to start using the Russian vaccine.

Recently, the country's government has published the latest information on five anti-disease drugs from which it follows that Sputnik V shows the best indicators in terms of safety and efficacy.

For example, there are only 95 coronavirus infections and one death per 100,000 people inoculated with the Russian vaccine. In case of AstraZeneca among the same number of vaccinated people 700 infections and seven deaths were recorded, in case of Pfizer/BioNTech - 555 infections and 32 deaths.

According to the Russian Direct Investment Fund, the data published by Hungary show that the number of deaths after administration of the domestic vaccine is 20-32 times lower, and the number of cases is 2-6 times lower than in the case of mRNA-vaccine.

To date, the Russian vaccine has already been approved in 60 countries. The efficacy rate is 97.6 percent based on data from 3.8 million Russian citizens who received the vaccine.
