A large enterprise where plywood will be manufactured will appear in the Sokol Industrial Park in the Vologda Region. The total investment in the project exceeds three billion rubles.

The production is created by Bereznik company, which in 2019 launched the construction of an enterprise for integrated wood processing.

At the moment, the production shop, the administrative and production building and the main block of the boiler house are being erected. In addition, foundations are being poured for the technological equipment that has already been purchased.

The project will be realized in three stages. The first one will be completed at the beginning of the next year and the production volume during this period will reach 40 thousand cubic meters. In 2025 the production volume will increase more than twice - up to 84 thousand cubic meters of plywood. The third stage entails the construction of a railroad dead-end road from the Pechatkino station to the plant in the industrial park, said Aleksey Abramov, the General Director of Berezniki.

The 12 thousand square meters workshop will produce birch plywood that is intended for export. It is expected that approximately 300 new jobs will be created here by 2025.
