The Tambov region has increased its supplies to foreign markets by 42% in the first four months of this year compared to last year at the same time. This was reported by the region's agriculture department.

In addition to live oil, the export of vegetable oil increased by 13%. At the same time, the volume of foreign shipments of grain from the region has increased.

Tambov region ranks 5th in the Central Federal District in terms of agro-industrial exports with a value of 83 million dollars in January-April.

Grain crops, according to the regional media, take the first place in the number of shipments abroad, while meat takes the next position in the ranking.

Earlier it became known that a group of companies Russian Cheese launched a cattle-breeding complex for 3.1 thousand heads in the village of Zakrutoe in Kaluga Oblast. A total of 3.4 billion rubles has been invested in the project.

The enterprise produces hard, semi-hard and brine cheeses. The range of products also includes butter and condensed milk. The company uses milk from its own farm as its main raw material.
