St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2021) is planned to be visited by about 2 thousand foreign participants, the largest delegations will arrive from the United States, China and Qatar, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov said in an interview with RBC.

"The number of foreigners who will come (to SPIEF-2021 - ed.) is about two thousand. The largest delegations are traditionally the United States - more than 200 people, Qatar - also more than 200 people, traditionally a large delegation from China," he said.

According to him, a delegation from Europe - Germany, France and Italy - will also visit the Forum. He noted that the forum caused such great interest, because people "missed" the events. In addition, foreigners are interested "to see what's happening in Russia.

SPIEF has been conducted since 1997 and since 2006 it has been held under the auspices and with participation of the President of the Russian Federation. Over the years, the forum has become the world's leading platform for the business community to network and discuss key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets and the world at large. This year the event will take place on June 2-5. Topics will traditionally focus on global and Russian economic issues, social issues and technology development.
