The authorities of Primorsky Territory announced a contest for entrepreneurs who implement new technologies and turn an innovative product into a product popular in the market. The best projects in eight areas will receive a grant for development - up to 2 million rubles, the regional government said.

"Primorye continues to accept applications until June 30 for a contest to support entrepreneurs who implement new technologies and turn an innovative product into a product that is popular in the market - Primorye Start. The best projects in eight areas will receive a grant for development - up to 2 million rubles," - the report says.

Applicants will be evaluated according to the following criteria: the level of development underlying the project, implementation prospects, resources required for this, possible risks and others.

According to the territorial government, the contest is open to small and medium-sized companies and individual entrepreneurs working in Primorye Territory and carrying out scientific work. Participants will face three stages: preliminary project accreditation, off-site examination and face-to-face defence in front of the jury. The grant for the winners is target-purpose and can be spent, for example, on creation of a working prototype or product commercialization.

Last year, 10 companies that submitted their innovative projects became winners of the contest.
