20 more companies joined the expert council on sustainable development

More than 20 companies joined the Expert Council for Sustainable Development, which is chaired by Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.

Among the new members of the Council are the following companies: Leroy Merlin, X5 Retail Group, Bayer, Schneider Electric, RAEX-Europe, Deloitte, Sakhalin Energy and others.

Currently, the Council comprises almost 60 companies and organizations representing various industries - metallurgy, nuclear energy, chemical industry, telecommunications, banking, retail, and others.

A meeting of the new composition will take place as early as this summer.

The council was established in December 2020 to regularly engage the ministry with Russian business on a "sustainable" agenda. The Ministry is engaged in a dialogue on the social and environmental aspects of business, as well as the private sector's contribution to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
