The Ministry of Industry and Trade will launch a preferential export programme through Russian Post in 2021

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade is planning to launch a preferential export programme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) jointly with Russia Post.

First Deputy Minister Vasily Osmakov, speaking today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, said the preferential export project has already been prepared.

"I really hope that this year we will launch a programme of preferential exports through Russian Post - supporting everything for SMEs. We have already prepared a government decree, there is money for this. And in the pilot mode, I think, already this year we should launch it," Octmakov said.

He noted that the program should effectively complement the work of the "Russian Post" and the Russian Export Center. "We report a "penny" that increases the efficiency of the overall system. This is very important," he believes.

Alexander Kalinin, president of the all-Russian public organization of small and medium-sized enterprises "Opora Rossii" in this connection recalled the latest data of "Russian Post".

"The head of Russian Post, Maxim Akimov, said that today the main driver of Russian Post is the export contracts of Russian small businesses. Our entrepreneurs are shipping in small boxes to Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. It (growing volume of goods) is impossible not to notice," he said.
