Agricultural machinery companies across Russia have opened more than 30 new modern workshops and production facilities with a total investment of more than 20 billion rubles thanks to state support, the Russian association of manufacturers of specialized machinery and equipment "Rosspetsmash" reported.

For example, thanks to the Government Resolution No. 1432 "On Approval of the Rules for Granting Subsidies to Manufacturers of Agricultural Machinery" new manufacturing facilities with investments were opened in the North-Western and Southern Federal Districts, in the Volga Region and in Siberia. Such companies as Rostselmash, St. Petersburg Tractor Plant, Pegas-Agro, Eurotechnika, Rubtsovsky Spare Parts Plant, Agro and others are investing in the modernization and expansion of their production facilities.

Production of Russian agricultural machinery is growing dynamically, according to the association's estimates: for example, in 2020 the production volume increased by almost 30% (to almost 150 billion rubles) compared to 2019.

According to the association, most Russian manufacturers of agricultural machinery have already exhausted or are close to exhausting the budget limits for discounts provided to farmers for the purchase of equipment under the current mechanism. In this connection in 2021 the federal budget is to allocate additional 5.3 billion rubles for implementation of the resolution, according to Rosspetsmash.
