The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is discussing with the Malaysian authorities the opening of flu vaccine production in the country, Deputy Head of the Ministry Alexey Gruzdev said during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum - 2021.

"Sputnik V is just the beginning of a new stage of cooperation (with ASEAN countries - ed.). It has not been very fast in the recent years because of difficulties with registration of medicines in certain countries. But we hope that now the page has been turned and we can take a new look at this cooperation. We are talking, among other things, about organizing production of flu vaccines, and such a project is now being discussed with Malaysia," Gruzdev told the EAEU-ASEAN session.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is being held from June 2 to 5. This year's theme is "Together Again. Economy of New Reality". The event is organized by Roscongress Foundation.
