The company "Hasad Food" as part of the official delegation from Qatar at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum noted the high quality of Bashkir honey, expressing interest in wholesale deliveries of the republic's halal products to Qatar, the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan reported.

"At the opening of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the potential of the Republic of Bashkortostan was presented to an official delegation from Qatar. Following the presentation, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov noted that the first contacts have already been established. In particular, we're talking about the company "Hasad Food", a food investor from Qatar. Director General of the company Rashid Mubarek emphasized high quality of Bashkir honey and expressed interest in wholesale supply of the product to Qatar," reads the press release.

The head of the Republican Ministry pointed out that all the necessary information on the possible supplies of Bashkir products will be provided to the delegation of Qatar within a week.

"It is a supply of beef, lamb, honey and other products which go under the Halal brand. Unfortunately, not much is known about Bashkortostan in Qatar. Our products are not present there in large quantities. Having tried it here today at the forum, they became interested. The first contacts have been formed," said Fazrakhmanov.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is taking place from June 2 to 5. This year's theme is "Together Again. The Economy of New Reality". The event is organised by the Roscongress Foundation.
