Shvabe Holding of Rostec State Corporation and Rostelecom signed an agreement on the joint creation of innovative services and services using 5G technology. The document was signed on the margins of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"The parties have agreed to jointly create a favorable environment in the optoelectronic industry for the development of modern digital infrastructure, including new generations of mobile communications. The companies will channel technological and other resources to improve production efficiency through digital transformation, automation and application of new digital solutions in production and business processes, as well as creation of innovative products for external customers," Rostec said.

The companies will also develop software and hardware solutions for large infrastructure projects that will meet the needs of residents, improve their safety, as well as solve government tasks within the framework of national projects.

"By joining efforts of our companies, we intend to organize industrial testing grounds and pilot zones for conducting applied research, testing prototypes and prototypes of solutions, services and services using fifth generation communication networks. The first practical steps in this direction may be made by the end of the year," Shvabe CEO Alexei Patrikeev said in the report.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is taking place from June 2 to 5. This year's theme is "Together Again. Economy of new reality". The event is organized by Roscongress Foundation.
