During the pandemic, businesses sent thousands of reports of violations to prosecutors

During the pandemic, the business community sent thousands of reports to the prosecutor's office about under-received benefits and compensation. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Russia, Igor Krasnov, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"It was especially felt at the height of the pandemic. We received thousands of appeals about not receiving benefits, deferrals, compensations, demanding unnecessary documents, imposing unnecessary approvals and paid services," Krasnov said.

As a result, about 200 thousand violations were suppressed, including more than 11 thousand instances of non-compliance with the moratorium on inspections by controlling bodies. "The rights of 21 thousand entrepreneurs have been restored, more than 37 billion rubles of debts on executed state and municipal contracts have been returned to businesses," the prosecutor general said.

According to Krasnov, much of the problems were solved during personal reception of entrepreneurs. He also mentioned that the pandemic initiated a new tradition, i.e. meetings between the Attorney General and representatives of the business community with the aim of visiting different regions of the country.

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is held from June 2 to 5. This year's topic is "Together Again. Economy of the New Reality". The event is organized by Roscongress Foundation.
