Trade turnover between Russia and China grew by more than 20% in 2021
Trade between Russia and China increased 23.6% year-on-year to more than $50 billion in the first five months of 2021, according to the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (PRC). At the same time, at the end of 2020, it decreased by almost 3%, amounting to more than 107 billion dollars.
According to the Chinese authorities, exports to Russia from January to May increased by 35.3% and amounted to about $23 billion. Imports of Russian goods and services increased by 15.4 percent to $27 billion over the five months.
Trade between China and Russia totaled $10 billion in May.
