Tomsk plant invested half a billion rubles in production modernization

Tomsk glassware plant Interglass has spent 488 million rubles on modernization of bottle production. Half of the financing was provided to the enterprise in the form of a soft loan by the Industry Development Fund, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Thanks to the funds the company now uses modern technology of narrow neck press-blowing, which makes it possible to produce bottles that are a quarter lighter in weight and of high strength. Interglass will cut costs for raw materials and energy, and consumers will optimize transportation costs.

As a result of the modernization, the total annual capacity of the two glass-forming machines increased from 108 million products to 120 million. In addition, the company increased the proportion of recyclable materials used in production of new bottles from 25% to 30%.

"Interglass produces glass bottles and jars of up to one liter. The customers of such containers are enterprises from Siberia and the Far East that produce beverages and food products.
