Residents of Technopolis "Moscow" increased the volume of investments by 35% in 2020

The volume of investments of Technopolis "Moscow" last year increased by more than 30% compared to 2019, Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Yefimov said.

"In 2020, residents of Technopolis "Moscow" invested 8.9 billion rubles in the development of the capital's economy. This is 35% more than a year earlier, when the volume of investments was 6.6 billion rubles. At the end of 2020 total volume of all resident investments for all time of Moscow SEZ existence has already exceeded 37.5 billion rubles", - he said on the official portal of Moscow mayor.

According to the Mayor's office, it is medicine, medical products and equipment manufacturers that have invested the largest volume - more than 5 billion rubles.

"On the territory of the capital SEZ enterprises develop their sites for the production of drugs against oncological diseases, neuropsychiatric disorders, cardiac disorders, products for stoma patients", - explained Alexander Prokhorov, the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

Microelectronics companies also lead in terms of investment volume - manufacturers of microcircuits, chips, power modules, optical transformers and robotics systems. Last year, they invested 2.7 billion rubles.

Technopolis "Moscow" is a special economic zone and consists of five sites with a total area of 223.3 hectares. One of them is in Pechatniki and four in Zelenograd - "Alabushevo", "Micron", "MIET" and "Angstrem". SEZ took the first place in the V rating of investment attractiveness of Russian industrial parks and special economic zones which was compiled by the analytical center "Expert". Technopolis residents save on taxes and other mandatory payments, they are provided with duty-free import, preferential profit rate. These companies do not pay tax on land, property and transport, explained in the mayor's office.
