Smolensk manufacturer of medical equipment has signed several export contracts to the CIS countries after placing its products on the MedicalExpo marketplace, according to the website of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The case in point is Smolensk Special Design and Engineering Bureau of Software Control Systems (Smolensk STB SPU), which is a participant in the Made in Russia project.

The new customers were companies from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Armenia.

According to Antonina Pizhun, a representative of the regional export support centre, another Smolensk manufacturer of medical equipment VetBot was able to enter into contracts with 30 different countries after it started exhibiting its products at the MedicalExpo.

Today, the export support centre in Smolensk region is engaged in placing accounts of local companies on such marketplaces as Alibaba, Amazon, Etsy, eBay, Europages, DTAD, SAP-Ariba and others. Exporters have the opportunity to learn how to work effectively on the marketplaces, design product cards and attract traffic. Such free service for small and medium-sized businesses has been used by 43 companies in two years.
