The Competence Center for Agricultural Cooperation and Support of Farmers "My Business" of the Chelyabinsk Region has developed a new type of support for rural microbusinesses - the so-called shop tours, during which urban residents can learn about the culture and everyday life of settlements, and visit local fairs and farms on the way.

"The Chelyabinsk Region has pioneered a new type of support for rural micro-businesses: the first shopping tour in rural areas was held this year in February in Kunashaksky District. City residents - moderately wealthy consumers - travel along a pre-designed itinerary guided by local journalists, teachers and culture professionals visiting several rural settlements and in these villages - rural fairs, markets, bakeries, backyards and farms", - the Ministry of Agriculture said.

In June, a shopping tour was organized in Argayashsky District, where guests from the city were treated to pies, farmer milk and cottage cheese, national pastries and entertained with a ride in a cart and guided tours of the local history museum and the goat farm.
