The authorities of Tatarstan have signed a road map for the development of procurement and processing of berry crops and vegetable raw materials in the Republic. The agreement was signed with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic, SME Bank, the Union of Consumer Cooperation Organizations of the Republic and the Sectoral Union of Manufacturers and Processors of Vegetable Raw Materials.

It is envisaged that a nationwide programme for growing, harvesting and processing of vegetable raw materials will be developed within the framework of the events. Construction of fruit and berry storage facilities and establishment of seedling centers is also planned in several regions.

The roadmap will also allow Tatarstan producers to receive priority in loans and credit-guarantee and leasing support. Under the agreement, the Corporation of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship will help the entrepreneurs to organize export deliveries and develop a standard ready-made solution for growing medicinal herbs for small-scale farming.
