The Krasnodar Region intends to attract 82.2 billion roubles worth of investment. Governor Veniamin Kondratiev told about it.

"Most of the signed agreements are related to the tourism sector, where 4 and 5-star hotels are in demand today. Three agreements have been signed with investors to build five-star hotels. Investment amounts to 21 billion rubles in Sochi alone", - cites his words the press service of the Ministry of resorts, tourism and Olympic heritage.

According to him, the hotel "Primorskaya" in Sochi will be reconstructed. Opening of a hotel complex in Esto-Sadok settlement is also planned, as well as construction of a 1000-room balneal resort in Mostovsky District.

According to the governor, the development of infrastructure and healthy competition will allow to restrain the rapid growth of prices for hotel rooms.

Krasnodar Region signed agreements to the tune of 162 billion roubles at the recent Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. This is almost 10 times more than in 2019. The key topic of the region's participation was exports of industrial goods, agricultural products and tourist services.
